A Friday in Paris

It was a cold, overcast day in Paris on Friday, but any day in Paris is a good day for me.

These pics are pretty self-explanatory. The Louvre, Venus de Milo, the crowd at the Mona Lisa. The weird-looking building is "Arche de la defense" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grande_Arche - it is in a straight line down the road from L'arche de triumph. It was right next door to my hotel, and the last subway stop on Line 1 is in front of the arch. it is an office building.

My next big trip is to Singapore and KL, so the weather should be quite different.

Subject says it all. I'm in the UK for 3 days for some meetings, then I'm going to Paris via the "chunnel" - which is called Eurostar for anyone who is not american.....

Fully operational bathroom

The never-ending bathroom project is close enough to done that I am giddy! All that remains is for me to paint the ceiling and do some minor touch-ups. I'm tickled pink (or 'painted beige', in this case) at the results. That is a bathroom worthy of a fine hotel! And now I am making plans for our other bathroom...
