Another box of slides
This is from a picnic or other social gathering in the US. I'm pretty in the dark about who's who beyond the obvious.

Slides from Korea
Here are the first two boxes of slides from Granddad's stint in Korea. I can't figure out the chronology of these, so I'm just going to grab interesting boxes and give them the next number, so there will be a lack of continuity.
The first batch of slides is dated from 1960, and I think the second batch is earlier, judging by the look of the slides.

Slide project, blog #1
So-
My grandfather Ross and his amazing wife Velda are moving, and he gifted me his complete slide collection and 1950's slide projector. Carol already has part of her grandfather's collection of slides. We even have our own collection from our vacations pre-digital photography. Remember then?
So finally armed with enough excuses, I decided to purchase a slide/film scanner. I was quickly able to enlist the support of my brother Robert and Carol's brother David. So we bought a Nikon Coolscan V and we're going to ship it around the country until we don't have any more slides or negatives we want to scan. Seems like that will keep us busy until we die.
Here are the early results.
The first set of Granddad's slides - a magazine called "France 2" - has pictures of Paris and others I don't recognize. I'm not sure, but I think these photos are from 1952.
Here are two small sets of pictures from the Davidson Family Collection. It's a pretty random selection of family pictures. For those who don't know, the Davidsons are Carol's maternal grandparents.
I'm leaving the country on Sunday so who knows when I'll post more.
