We went to the Sunset festival last weekend. It was like an art and wine festival you have to pay for, but with lots of contractors, art projects, and cooking also. Here's Siena and the cookie she painted with food coloring!

Our 9th Anniversary

Today is our 9th wedding anniversary. We went to La Fondue in Saratoga.

Busy, busy

Tuesdays are crazy days. Zack has preschool, Siena has gymnastics, Siena has preschool, and then she has karate. Needless to say, she is pretty tired by the end of the day. Doesn't she look cute, though? "Hi!"

Home improvement project #17- Finished!

. The toilet is no longer homeless. At last the wallpaper is down from the half bath, and now it's a nice shade of cappucino.

The only thing left now is the baseboards, and project #16 will be done!

Home improvement #18 

Jon and I installed these three recessed lights last weekend. Pretty easy overall. Notice the toilet in the hall. Guess I'd better finish project #17 next....

The crowd for my talk at the Los Angeles chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association. My talk on "Sygate's Network Admission Control Technology" was surprisingly well recieved.

U2 Live in SJ

Sigh-- what can I say? I love them!I've seen many live shows, and U2 tops my list (sorry, it's true). Maybe it's because I grew up the past 20 years revelling in every note. Maybe it's because Bono oozes charisma. Maybe it's the shivers that travel up me for the first 15 minutes of each concert. And there's a cool light show too.

I can't talk about Bono without gushing, so in short, I'll say that I really respect and admire him. He uses his celebrity to raise awareness about issues that need to be dealt with: equal rights, poverty, war and peace, social injustices, and the like. Good for him!

The concert was not the best, but it was great, as usual.
